To fight against AIDS (1999)
Due to strong citizen mobilisation, laboratories announced a reduction in the price of medicines for the poor countries and international financial lenders freed up funds in order to facilitate the access to treatments for AIDS patients in Africa. The movement has been launched, but vigilance and action are still necessary.

(1999-2000) To drop the debt
Agir ici launched, along with other organisations, the campaign "In the year 2000, drop the debt !", as France's role in the international campaign for debt cancellation in the poorest countries. Under this pressure, the major creditors cancelled almost $ 100 billion dollars. As for the French government, it engaged in close dialogue with the campaign organisations about cancellation methods.

To change France's African policy (1994-1998)
Agir ici, along with numerous assocations (like Survie), led several campaigns for increased transparency in Franco-African relations ; for example during the Rwandan genocide or the 1998 Franco-African Summit. This work is starting to bear fruit. In particular, the reform of the Cooperation, launched in 1998, allowed for closer association with civil society.

(1995-2000) To defend rughts within the workplace
Against the exploitation of children, slavery and anti-trade union repression, Agir ici, as part of the "Ethics on the label" group, appeal to textile and sport material industries as well as the publics authorities to work for the respect of human rights in the workplace. From now on, the main French supermarket chains, are looking to pay more consideration to new consumer demands regarding social conditions. More than 100 cities are in favour of ethical consumption. European institutions have also adopted new measures in this respect.

(1998-2000) To reform the World bank and the IMF
In partnership with numerous French and international associations, Agir ici is developping a long-term program for the reform of international financial institutions (IFI). This campaign allowed for improved transparency and parliamentary control of French policies within the IFI, and contributed to the creation of an evaluation unit of IMF programs in April 2000.

To promote Fair trade (1998)
In order to develop the notoriety of fair trade in France, Agir ici, in collaboration with other associations, asked the well known, large supermarkets chains to introduce coffee guaranteed by the Max Havelaar label into their shelves. Today, six chains propose such labelled coffee wich therefore becomes more accessible to the public.

(1997-1999) To prohibit land mines
Agir ici, along with Handicap International, co-ordinated a campaign for the total prohibition of land mines in France. The Ottawa Treaty was ratified and a law banning the mines was voted in june 1998. An evaluation committee, uniting NGOs, was put into place. Together with the other associations involved in the international campaign against the mines, Agir ici was a recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize.
Furthermore, Agir ici led several campaigns to reinforce the control of arms transfers, small arms as well as security and police materials. This led to the European Union's adoption of a code of practice and the inclusion of small arms in the French annual report on arms transfers.

To protect rainforest (1998)
To preserve the rainforest, the campaign asked do-it-yourself stores to indicate everyday and Latin terms, as well as the geographic origin of all sold wood. Under consumer pressure, many large supermarkets committed themselves to improving client information concerning their supply networks.
